A Piaggio esta pronta a conquistar ou mercado brasileiro dos turboélices. A sua presença na LABACE 2010 confirmou que a Piaggio já tem alguns clientes no Brasil. Alem disso, a empresa anunciou durante o show, que NOAR Aviação do Recife vai ser seu representante exclusivo e centro de manutenção.

O Avanti II é o turboélice mais rápido do mundo (745km/hr) e tem um custo operativo 40% mais baixo que seu competidor. Alem disso, a cabine do Avanti II é a mais grande de sua categoria e a menos barulhenta.

Ademais de ser o turboélice mais rápido, o Avanti II oferece opções muito sofisticadas: Internet de banda larga, o sistema de mapas Rosenview VX IFE, cortinas de janela electro-cromáticas, e iluminação cromática.

Piaggio’s Avanti sets out to conquer the Brasilian turbo-prop market.

By attending LABACE in August, Piaggio has made it clear it intends on entering the turbo-prop market in Brasil. During the show, the company announced it had reached an agreement with NOAR Aviação in Recife to become the exclusive distributor and service center for Piaggio’s Avanti.

The Avanti is the world’s fastest turbo-prop (745 km/hr) and has an operating cost up to 40% lower than its closest competitor. It boasts the largest stand-up cabin in its class and lowest cabin noise.

In addition to its speed, the Avanti II features new high tech interior options, such as broadband internet, Rosen’s Rosenview VX IFE mapping system, mood lighting and electrochromatic window shades.

Piaggio confirmed that certification of the aircraft in Brasil is well under-way and the first Brasilian deliveries are expected for the 1^st quarter of 2011. Organized by ABAG (Brazil’s General Aviation Association), LABACE 2010, the 7th Latin America Business Aviation Conference, opened yesterday at Congonhas Airport in São Paulo, Brazil.

During the opening ceremony, ABAG’s director, Francisco Lyra, highlighted the important role played by general aviation for the country’s growth. Brazil hás the world’s 2nd largest fleet of GA aircraft. In Brazil, G.A. serves close to 75% of all major airports, as well 3,500 airfields.

Despite the growth of general aviation over the last decade, aeronautical infrastructure in Brasil remains insufficient, and outdated. Brazil needs not only more airports but also more general aviation terminals. Moreover, Brazil also needs more pilots.

The organizers of LABACE expected 15,000 visitors over the 3 days of the show. Yesterday alone, the show registered 9000 visitors.

Nádia Pires. Qual a sua expectativa em relação a feira do ano passado com 2009? Which is your the expectation for this year’s fair?
C.P. Positiva, foi bem melhor que o ano 2008 ou de 4 anos de Labace e cada vez está melhorando. Positive, it was better than last year and keeps improving every year since the past 4 years I’ve been to Labace.

N.P. Quais as novidades que foram trazidas para 2009? Which are the features that you brought for this year?
C.P. Trouxe a abertura de uma nova oficina em Belo Horizonte – MG. I brought the opening a new workshop in Belo Horizonte – MG.

N.P. Com a crise internacional você acredita que o mercado aeronáutico já se aqueceu? With the international crisis you believe that the aeronautical market  has already reheated?
C.P. Está começando a se aquecer e acredito que no 2o. semestre de 2010 estará melhor ainda. It is starting to heat and I believe in the 2 semesters of 2010 will be better.
