Considerations for Exporting Aircraft out of the USA (continued)

Export Application
As we explained last week, in order to get an export C of A, a technical inspection must be performed on the aircraft, which will allow the DAR to sign off the certificate of airworthiness. This is, however, only one part of the process.
First and foremost, any exporter requires an export application, which is to be accompanied by a current aircraft weight and balance. Moreover, the application may also need to be accompanied by a written statement by the importing country, depending on the attributes of the aircraft being exported. Your aircraft broker or consultant should be able to determine if this is necessary or not.
